The key points presented by the federal government for the partial legalization of cannabis have met with strong criticism not only from the opposition, but also from the country's craft businesses.
Dirk Neumann, the general manager of the Chamber of Crafts in Halle, commented: “Unfortunately, some craftsmen are familiar with the problem when young employees in particular appear at work intoxicated by cannabis. In this case, employers cannot be responsible for employees doing manual work because there are many areas that are prone to danger. We can no longer ensure occupational safety if cannabis can soon be consumed legally.”
Dear Mr. Neumann,
I too am an opponent of legalization for other reasons. But you as an association representative must be familiar with the ArbSchG in order to know that employers are obliged to send people who are unable to work home accompanied - this is also the case with alcohol and all other psychotropic substances!!
And if your member companies don't know this, then goodnight, Mr. Neumann.
