“Age-appropriate jobs are important” and that starts early

HSE Occupational

For Torsten Brandt from the Saarland Chamber of Labor, this is primarily due to health reasons and calls for improvements in occupational safety. People in Germany are increasingly retiring before the standard retirement age. Many people leave working life at the age of 63 or 64.

Note: Qualifications and secure jobs require the attention of companies and managers and a modern approach is required - HSE 4.0 can help to develop employees, immigrants and also those who are not sufficiently qualified and to give them the skills to work as a specialist for companies to be.

HSE 4.0 is no longer just occupational safety – we can do more, much more!

MEASURES TO ADDRESS THE SKILL SHORTAGE

Raising the retirement age as a measure to combat the shortage of skilled workers is not an option for Brandt.

Rather, people need to be able to work healthily for longer, he says. In addition, qualified immigration must be relied upon. The third adjustment screw should be to increase the employment of women. Employing more women full-time is “a very important step” against the shortage of skilled workers – and also against poverty in old age, because women are particularly affected by poverty in old age.
